waders and boots
Posted by AHE on May 12 2005
I've been doing hot (i.e., 95+ degrees) summer field work in marshes for the last few years, and am now in the market for a new pair of waders.  I've been using the booted waders up until now, but they're pretty difficult to get around in when you're in deep mud, so I was thinking I'd go for the footie waders and a good pair of boots.

I'm seeing a lot of breathable footie waders for sale over the net, but I'm not getting a good read on the boots to go with them.  Does anybody have suggestions for good durable boots?  I work in tidal marshes, so I'm definitely up to my tuckus in water on a regular basis and need truly waterproof boots.

Any suggestions are truly welcome.
