If I am remembering this, I think an A-1 is something like 21 or 24 lbs. I would think this will depend on how much weight you have in them, and how much your pots weight, etc. ALso, I run 600ft of line, and place the pots in 300-400 feet oif water, so there is a pretty good margin of error with this.
