feeder kings are simply fish that are not destined for a river this year (although some fall spawning canadian fish are feeders in the spring), and a 4-salt feeder from canada can easily be over 30 lbs. the biggest feeders caught around kachemak bay can be in the 45 lb class, but they are by no means abundant. some years are better than others for big feeders. it depends on the abundance of older year-class cohorts.

we got two today over 20, one white.
