waders

Get boot foot neoprenes.  Breathables are nice if you are a thick blooded northern type.  If not go with 3 or 5mm neoprene boot foots.  The boot foots are much warmer then the stocking feet types.  The stocking feet waders compress on your feet as you go deeper, restricting circulation.  Something you might not notice anywhere else but here.

My boot foot neoprenes are lug soled.  My breathables are felt soled.  I dont think it matters much as they are both fairly decent.  I do think the felt is nicer on the rocks then the boot foots.
