some rookie questions & ideas
Posted by rivrat on May 06 2005
I am just getting started and was wondering how long you guyz soak your pots? How often to check?  Also I had a idea for a buoy, could you use a five gallon bucket?  They snap on pretty tight and have a rubber seal too, you could also silicone it for a little more insurance-  I will be going out of whitter when I get time.  How much weight will a electric downrigger pull?  Could a smart guy devise some kind of one way lock to slide down the rope twards the pot, then pull it up with the downrigger?

thanks for your help-
