Halibut killing tidbits...
Posted by AlaskanAuthor on May 04 2005
If you don't want to pull the trigger, and you are hesitant to cast the harpoon, consider the following:

1. You can anesthetize a flat fish by spraying its gills with a CO2 fire extinguisher.

2. You can also put it asleep by spraying its gills with oil of
clove.

Vodka then poured into the gill area will kill it.

Fire Extinguishers?
Oil of Clove?
My prized bottle of Absolute?

No way.

Give me the billy, grab my belt, and hang me over the side.
After I whack him, pass me the knife and I'll give you back the club.

I'll cut that gill so swiftly it will make its heart bleed...
