We had just landed a 45 to 50 pound Dorado "Mahi Mahi. Our guide asked us if we had any beer to kill to kill the fish before we pulled it into the boat. We did not have any alcohol of any kind, so no first hand experience, but our skipper swore up and down that a few ounces of beer poured into the fish's gills would kill it pretty darn quick.
