Since the snakecharmer is built to fire with one hand, and in the cool head and hands of an experienced fisherman,there is no reason why the one and only shot to be dispatched needs to be any furthur from the halibuts brain than 6"-----the size of the shot is a moot point.  In fact I have a .410 snakecharmer with a .22 hornet insert!
