Matter of Opinion

Henry,  the standard answer for most visitors to Alaska is the Russian / Kenai Rivers that being said they are very popular, and crowded.

I actually like the Eyak River in Cordova, but there is an extra associated expense with travel!  No CROWDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We run an operation down on the Gulkana which is another good river to chase Reds as well as the Klutina!  Everyone has a favorite place and method of pursuing Reds!

I see by your other post you might be heading south of Anchorage that means the Kenai!  There are also many fly out options from the PEN.
