Poaching Silvers
Posted by bakerb on Oct 12 2004
Why in the HELL would anyone keep even one of those Delta-Clearwater Silvers?  Those fish have travelled over 800 river miles to reach their spawning beds.  There can't be an ounce of fat left in them (that means flavor).

I can't even imagine what a person would do with 33 of those fish.  I have a hard time using 30 premium Copper River Sockeye per year.

They are fun to catch (especially on top) and make a great photo in a beautiful environment.
