One last flash...

Kodiak silvers are still around in mid-October. So also will be some steelhead, and don't forget the dollies. Coho linger in the bays and then flood up into the river and stream systems dependent upon percipitation.

The later into the season, the more they will begin to lose their reflective hue and change to red and then on to almost a red/black. You can still eat the former, but assuredly will disfavor the later.

Tourist and local pressure will have well let up by mid-October. The fish will be unmolested and eggs, flies, and lures will nail any of them. You'll find the American, the Olds, Salonie, and the Russian among the most easiest of roadside rivers and streams in which to present your offerings.
