The best Fly for Salmon is the one you tied your-self and caught a fish on.  Flash, Egg Sucking, Yarn, Glow Bug, Cone Head's, Bead Heads, Sunks, Comets, Polar Shrimp they are all very effective if fished properly.

That being said my favorite is a "mod" of the Clouser Minnow in various colors. From BlueGills to Kings it doe sit all to include Salt water fishing.
