What part of the state?
Posted by Paul H on Aug 13 2004
While most salmon have finished their runs by then, there are still fish to be caught.  The up side is that most boats drop their rates, and the waters won't be that busy.

Just make sure you bring warm clothes.  September is a transitional month.  Some days are breathtakingly beatiful, and still quite warm.  Others are to the bone cold, and you wonder why there isn't snow, as it sure feels cold enough.  So long as the winds haven't stripped the trees and bushes of their leaves, it is definately a beatiful time of year to come up.
