Out-Side the Box
Posted by BlueMoose on Aug 06 2004
Agree Stripping the fly in short works well. Standard Patterns, and Surface Patterns can be extremely effective and fun. I have found the Wog is fun, but action tends to fall off if the fish are being disturbed by the amount of people fishing in your area.

I would like to suggest another solution to your potential problem concerning slow water.

Out-Side the Box;  Try a med weight Cone Head Woolly Bugger Size 2-4 heavy shank, Black or Olive strip short intervals. I know it's like Jigging, but it has never failed to save the day for me in Slow Water.

Tight Lines
