Trout Streams
Posted by BlueMoose on Aug 03 2004
Stampede,

Depending on your location the Parks offers decent trout fishing and wadable water through mid Sept. Check the Regs than check Willow, Montana Creek, etc...... all the way up to most tribs of the Chulitna System they are all road side fisheries so some times you find crowds, but with a little walking they can be very rewarding to fish.

I will let the Kenai folk's fill in the blanks down on the Pen.

The Gulkana also offers some good Rainbow fishing this time of year.  You could boat to the outlet of Paxon Lake and fish the first couple of miles of stream then boat back!

Tight Lines
