Ketchikan freshwater & saltwater charter fishing
Posted by Captain Rob on Aug 01 2004
The best charters and guides are typically booked well in advance. "Poking around" for a guide a month before your trip is somewhat unrealistic if your interested in a quality adventure with a reputable operation. You might get lucky....and hopefully you'll find useful info on Outdoors Directory here or from the forum members to make a good choice. If just getting a boat n guide to get out on the water is what matters and you just want to fish for a day or two with a typical full day out and back to town to a hotel, you can call Ketchikan Sportfishing 1-907-225-7526 or Ketchikan Charter Boats 1-907-225-7291 for availability. They handle cruise ship passengers and usually there is a boat looking for people to fill it and go fishing. The guides and boats there come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities to fit your needs.

In the future, if your serious about a high quality fishing adventure you need to do your homework and spend some time researching charter services that could meet your needs. Start well in advance.....at least a year ahead. Ask alot of questions of the services themselves, and of course, always ask for and check references!

Johnny has a website at www.muskegexcursions.com that actually has links to some of the best fishing charters in the business. See the links page for more info https://www.muskegexcursions.com/hunting/links.htm

That would be a good start for your next adventure....good luck with this years trip!

PS. We're booked for this year, but look us up for 2005....but book before December 2004 for best dates.....always book ahead!
