Pick your days and go for it!  Plenty of but have been pulled out of Ninilchik in small skiffs, and you are close enough to take advantage of any good days.

I was taking the mindset of someone in Anchortown that was looking making a bigger comittment in a trip down there.

I'd still be partial to a detuned 50 on the Kenai and pulling the restrictor off for the salt, but a boat you have and use with 25-35 horse is much better than one you dream of with a 50 ;)  Ob's have gotten plain crazy expensive these days!
