Minimum Boat Size

I wouldn't run less than a 14' with a 50 hp jet.  The 35hp jets will barely push two guys, a dog, and gear for the day.  If you want an open jon boat a 16' with a 50 or 60 hp jet is the way to go.  They will run real shallow too.  Will be fine on the smaller lakes but you would want to use caution anywhere where 2' or larger chop may develop.

My .02 anyways.
