Jon Boats-Tunnel Hulls vs Standard
Posted by Graham on Jan 31 2006
I am now running a 1448 Crestliner welded Jon (non tunnel) with a 40/30 Yamaha 2 stroke and it is a well matched unit for the river I am on. I am in the process of ordering a 1652 Sea Ark Jon boat and was going to order is with the Jet tunnel which is about a 3" instead of a 5" tunnel for the prop model.

I recently have read a couple poor reports for the jet tunnels in general and was talking to a dealer today that said they had to send back two Crestliner tunnels because they never could get the motors adjusted on them to prevent them cavitating in chop, minor or major.
Does anyone have any thought on the jet tunnels or tunnels in general.
Thanks in advance.
Graham
