The Alaska |
[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] more than you think Posted by BigB on Jul 15 2005 Their are more out there than people are letting onto, you can go to the Kenia river or the matsu, you can float the little sue from Houston to Berma landing it will take a weekend to do butt a good float. Also you can float Willow Creek from the bridge at the parks highway to the camp ground were it goes into the Big Sue. their are several creeks past Willow Creek that you can also float to the Big Sue and take out at willow campground. then their is the Gulkana near Glen Allen you can float it from paxton lake to the highway bridge or you can make it shorter by hitting one of the cutoffs. and last but not least, buy an Alaska Gazetter and turn to page 12 and research the trips they have listed, and a good book is "float hunting alaska" but its mostly about remote floats. Good Luck Previous: Just got it in the mail wildog Jul 26 2005 Next: There aren't many Paul H Jul 13 2005 Message Thread:
