Whittier Tips
Posted by Ak Steve on Jul 15 2005
Alright, since the boat is gone I'll divulge the secrets.
Leave your boat with Larry Gilman (custom marine services 472-2429) to avoid the tunnel fees.  $70 a month if you are on a trailer.  He has a launch - $10 in and out - no wait.  He'll let you hose down as well after you come out of the water, and you don't have to pay to park on top of the storage fee if you can get tucked up out of the way.
We did alright with him last year. Don't know if his fees have changed this year or not.
But, I agree, go to Seward and leave the Sound for me!
