Boating safety course for PWS?
Posted by Bookseller on Apr 05 2005
It's getting close to "unwrap the boat" time so I'd better get going on some of the projects on my to-do list.  First is a boating/navigation/communications info class for Prince William Sound?  I put the boat (18' Harbercraft) in the water there three times last year but didn't venture too far and the south end of Culross Passage was the furthest I was willing to go.  I did pick up charts for the sound and some local boaters marked some stuff (hazards, fishin holes, etc) for me so I wasn't totally in the dark when I went out there.  Is there a class that is offered on PWS or should I just go to the Coast Guard shack in Whittier and ask questions?

Oh yeah, my wife just walked by and told me to find out when is a good time to spot Orca's in PWS?
