Down Rigger Mounting

Larch,
I agree with Snowwolfe. The closer to the stern you can mount them is better. I run the scotty 1116 and mine are mounted 34" from the stern. Dick Poole has written a book "Downrigger Fishing Secrets". check ebay or go to this website: https://www.tyeetackle.com/books.html
