Downrigger mounting?
Posted by Larch on Mar 12 2005
i bought a scotty 1050 downrigger, has a 24 inch boom.  how far is "too far" away for the downrigger to be mounted to the boat?  as in, is it okay to have the downrigger mounted about 5 feet forward of the stern?
