I second strahans advice on the kenai, I drift both kenai and kasilof alot. My favorite time for the kenai in the drift boat is just after the ice is off and the launches are open. The river is usually too low at that time of year (1st-2nd week of may) for power boats to travel much so the drift boat gets you to a lot of the holes that the fish are holed up in and you hardly ever see anyone out that time of year.  The fishing can be slow that time of year for early kings but they are there. Also the kenai has a drift boat only monday throughout june and july wich is a lot of fun.
