"35-HP RESTRICTIONS—no one may operate a boat on the Kenai River upstream of the Warren Ames bridge with outboard or combination of outboards having a total propshaft rating greater than 35 HP.  Adding a jet drive to any boat does not change its equivalent propshaft HP rating."

SD, my choice of wording earlier wasn't correct. I should have said propshaft hp. But you're not correct in what you're saying. As I stated earlier, I had to de-tune my 40 w/jet to be legal on the Kenai. A 40 w/jet is only 28 hp at the jet, but a 40 is a 40. Call F&G if you don't believe what I'm saying.
