(From the back cover): Duncan Gilchrist is a naturalist and big game hunter eminently qualified to write books and produce videos. Now 61, he began hunting as a young boy. His quest iin the pursuit of big game has taken him from Alaska, to Africa, Australia, New Zealand, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, along with the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Missouri, Louisiana and Illinois. He now resides in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. Here Duncan works at his many ventures. Formerly he lived in Alaska for 14 years where he worked as a forester and as a guide. As a bush pilot he has logged 6,000 hours flying a Cub. Gilchrist spends well in excess of 100 days a year hunting and photographing big game.
