The Alaskan Trapper’s Handbook is a collection of the knowledge and experiences of an Alaskan trapper. Like most trappers, you have probably read many good trapping handbooks, but there has never been one written about trapping in snow under Alaskan conditions. Although, this book is written for trappers, it covers such a wide variety of subjects, it will be used and appreciated by any serious outdoorsman. The author, Dean Wilson, has been a trapper, outdoorsman and survivor in Alaska for 38 years.
Dean’s vast knowledge of Alaska and trapping began in Northway, taught to him by his father and local native trappers. He lived there until his late teens, then followed work to several interior towns as a mechanic, logger, miner and general laborer, but always a trapper.
