Alaska Hunting Guides

Alaska  hunting guides have a world-wide reputation. Much of that reputation stems from the ability of the guides /outfitters that hunt here. In the context of this directory, a hunting "guide" refers to an individual who is licensed by the state of Alaska to guide hunters for big game. In Alaska, not all outfitters are hunting guides. Guide services are listed here by geographic region. Some Alaska guides operate in numerous areas, and so are listed under the statewide heading. Others concentrate in a few specific areas, and they are listed under one or more sub-regions of the state, e.g. Northern Southeast Alaska.
