Skin installation
Posted by Gary W. on Feb 04 2006
I am not familiar with the polaris edge machine that you have, but I have installed and replaced numerous ski skins on my polaris machines and also skidoo tundra. No bolts have ever come with new skins. You have to take the nuts off of ski skags on top of skis, drop skag out from skibottom of ski. Then place skin under ski and slip steering skag under skin and insert skag studs up thru skin and back into holes in ski. sometimes it can be a pain the ass to get everything to line up, but with a little effort it always works. The first  ski is always the hardest. Once you get one done, the second is always easier because you know how to do it. Just make sure you block up the entire front of the machine with skis off of ground, or at least one side at a time. It takes a few inches of ground clearance to slide everything into place.   hope this helps good luck
