Posted by jssbastiat on Feb 04 2006
i have used my polaris to pull a 10 ft utility trailer loaded wtih a total weight of 4000 lbs plus...i know for a fact because that was the loaded weight on the barge!!!!  So, i don't do it all the time, but, it made it 1.5 miles up some hills to my new house...also, a man got stuck on a step boat ramp and it was wet...he laughed at me when I said i could pull him out..he was in a king cab ranger....hehhehe, he ate crow that day....pulled him right out...

i have had no  problems with mine , just let it warm up with a cover for 20 minutes or more when it is below zero.....it is stiff when i first start out in the mornings when it is that cold...

one problem with the bigger machines is that it is hard to fit  the 500 down the standard 4 wheeler or snogo trails....might need a chain saw your first time out down the regular trail....oh, one thing further...MAKE sure you tell your buddies when they ride yoru machine about the parking break and the foot brake...i swear, i have had two KNOT HEADS get on mine and drive it with the brakes on and NOT know it although it woudl not go over 2 mph...dannnngggg....burned up the belt, brakes, etc...
