I need help on installing skins on my snow machine
Posted by jssbastiat on Feb 04 2006
ok, first time to do this...but, i have a polaris 550 Edge, great for the trails, long rides, in town...i live in the bush by the way, ride it every day to work....BUT, i then need to hit the river and go caribou hunting and some of the mountains are packed and easy to ride, some are not...sooo, i bought some 8 in skin's to go on my front ski's.....but, they have two bolt holes, but, no bolts came with them.....dang, what is up...i'm from texas, take it easy...i'm tearing it apart now...sooo, i'll check messages later on tonight, maybe some one can help..

also, i like this machine,it rides good on my bad b ack....what would happen if next year i used a 1.5 in lug track on it with the 8 in skins for hunting season in the mountains????  would that be able to break trail at all...i'm in nulato...i hit the mountains outside of shaktoolik and that was awesome, my manchine did fine in the hard packed snow there...but here, it is not as windy, so, more powdery...???

thanks
