4x4 Selection
Posted by PatrickH on Jan 31 2006
My snow blower died, and my wife suggested I buy a 4x4 ATV with a plow to replace it. (I know my wife is a gem:) I will also use it for hunting and fishing. I am a big guy, 6'2" and 240lbs. I am not a speed demon and would rather get better mileage. What I want is something that is very reliable and will haul me and my gear and game. I do like to get into some of the more challenging areas also. I am on a limited budget (about $4000 tops), so I will need to buy a used machine.
I would like some suggestions. From my research so far the top brands would be Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. It would probably be Honda only if they had a locking front axle. What do you suggest and why?
Thanks,
Patrick
