I was thinking about making a trip out to Flathorn Lake for some pike fishing.  Does the trail starting near the Little Susitna landing in the Point Mackenzie area cross the Susitna Game Flats?  If so, is it open for riding a snow machine.  I found an annouuncement that it was opened on the 4th of December with 20 inches of snow, but things may have changed after the warm spell we had in December.  Perhaps there is another or better route someone could recommend.
