Roads and ATV's
Posted by Steven Horton on Jan 03 2006
I've been told that there are next to no roads in Alaska.  I get this picture of there not being ANY kind of dirt or gravel roads in any of the wilderness.  Is this true or is there logging roads, fire break/roads, forestry roads etc?  I know Alaska is huge but it sounds like to me that there are main highways and that's it.  What I'm getting at...is an ATV during the summer months a good thing to have to get in and out of the woods for say bear hunting.  Thank you for any information.

Steve
