The air-cooled 550 RMK would be a good choice for Scott due to its simplicity, light weight, low price and long 1 1/4" track.  Its a great all around performer. It has great power and holds its own with the big boys in the meadows and hills too.  It sips gas should he choose to trap in Nulato.  fk
