question
Posted by EricL on May 30 2005
A friend and myself were riding up at Eureka today.  It was the first time we have been up there.  Had a question for anyone who might know. We parked at the lots about a mile east of Eureka Lodge.  We took a trail that heads to the northwest.  We went to Flat Creek.  My question is What's the deal with the rig and trailer parked in the creek?  It is some kind of military rig with a type of off road trailer, both painted yellow. The rig is licensed in Canada and the trailer is licensed in Alaska.  All their gear is still there.  There is a callapsed tent with cots, sleeping bags, laterns, etc.  In the truck and trailer there are tools, ladder, propane cylinder.  Looks as though it has been there for at least a few days or longer,  but the blue tarp is not faded and the sleeping bag is a little faded.  No signs of any struggle and no tracks to be seen. Anyone got any info on this?
