Skandic

Snowmobiles are all about compromise. You should decide which features are most important. Most trail machines will haul sleds, but not as well as a utility machine. Most utility machines do fine on trails, but are not as fast comfortable or nimble as a trail machine. I have a Skidoo Skandic 500 Sport which is somewhere in the middle. Since I am not a speed demon it is fine for me. In fact it goes faster than I care to anyway. It is not as heavy and slow as a full on utility machine like the Bearcat, Viking or Skandic Super Wide Track. If I were building a cabin in the bush I would consider the full utility snowmachine. If you will mainly be riding for fun go with a trail or mountain machine.
