shot it, still alive!!!
Posted by Thebear_78 on May 05 2006
I took it out and shot it today.  It shot pretty good.  I wasn't sure what to expect so I shot it off the standing position first,  pretty good whack to it.  I shot it 25 times today,  15 of those off the lead sled, what a great invention.  Accuracy was pretty decent,  from the sled a couple of my old standby loads a 260 acubond and 300gr partiton didn't impress too much with groups around 2-3" but the federal 270gr load that I got to get it close was shooting very respectable groups,  1.25-1.5 on average at 100 yards.  It heated up fairly quickly so lots of time was needed between shots.

Honestly I wouldn't want to shoot it off a bench too many times, even with the past recoil pad, but standing and kneeling wheren't bad at all.  about like shooting a light weight 3.5" 12ga with heavy loads.  There was definately no question about weather or not it went off.

FOr its intended purpost it will do just fine, carry a lot shoot very little.  It is very handy and points really well, especially with the pop up peep sight.
