[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Tikka Troubles.. Posted by Murphy on May 04 2006 Ahh...Tikka scope mount screw holes are not metric. I have mounted scopes with different U.S. makers mounts an the T-3's and they are not metric. You have another problem, maybe wrong size screws, but, unless you have a one of a kind T-3, they are not metric. If you talked to anyone in Finland they likely will tell you there are no screw holes in the Finnish rifles. Before the late model Tikka's they had no screw holes mounts just clamped onto the dovetail rail. They have been Americanized now and use No.6 screws. Burris will not provide metric screws for their mounts either. Something is missing here. There are about two dozen people on this forum who own Tikka T-3's and they all have scopes on them, I'll bet, maybe they can help with this. I don't own one and don't have acess to one now or I could measure the screw holes. Good luck with this one and good shootin'.
