I think they were all at gun shows or something, plus deer season. so I settled for the 270. I really really want a 30 cal, not just for hunting, but for variety of aplications like shooting through steel and long range target practice. Plus the huge variety of bullets either light or heavy and the option of FMJ, or tracers, is what made me regret not waiting for a 30-06. the 30 cal is what I want. and I already have a plan for my next rifle after that, which will be a 375 H&H. then I would have the flat shooter with power at farther range along with a bear stomper. should I want to pursue that rought.
