Ive owned 2 savage combos.one was 243 and the other was a 338.  Both of of them were very accurate. But both had a probem when rechambering a round. After firing the first round and working the bolt to chamber the next round from the magazine the bolt would miss the round and therefore not be chambered. This happened to me on both rifles. with factory ammo and handloads. For your 4-600 bucks you could probably get new ruger.
