Guns have a way of "Growing Legs" when shipping through USPS!  I would do your best to disguise the contents, and not ship in the original carton unless there are no markings.  A cheap plastic gun case would also work and some even come with cardboard boxes.  Get the insurance and delivery confirmation.  Last time I shipped USPS, their "tracking number" was really only for delivery confirmation (did not show the current status until arrival), but they may have upgraded to be more in line with FedEx and UPS.  Wyatt
