OCW-.3grains

Newberry's site is what triggered this curiosity about. I generally just zero in a load to what prints the tighest an call it good. Seeing now that brass measurements is crucial and  tenths of a grain of pwdr have bearings on the Optimum Charge Weight. Field conditions are different than a target rest but Newberry or was it UncleNick I believe mentions that using sandbags and various targets opposed to Audettes single target and individual charges would help establish a load  that can be used quite accurate in the field and quite possibly in various temps as well. I will see. There is some confusing data I attempted to acquire at the start and the only possible thing to do is go ahead and load up.
George, Hey hows it going? Been awhile. That use of new brass trimmed and sized is a good thing. I will do that. I have plenty of new Winchester brass. I considered not cleaning the bore but with nothing but a few strokes of Hoppes now and again when I commence my tests. I think with my inaccurate RCBS TrimPro I will have my work cut out for me in making all cuts the same. I have noticed this trimmer or to me maybe that it doesn't cut accurately-can't be me. Assuredly will not send bullets down range without full knowing that each and every case is of proper length. A grueling task.
I will let you know how it works.
regards,
Tim
