Great choice. I used to own a rifle in this and it would shoot 300 grain bullets at 2600 FPS, same if not slightly more than a standard 375 H&H.
If you want to go even larger try the 416 Taylor. It is formed by necking up 338 WM brass or necking down 458 WM brass.
I have had great luck with HS precision stocks but McMillans are just as strong if not stronger and are built to the cartridge you specify and come with a life time warranty.
