I have killed moose and bear with my 300 and never with the same bullet. The hardest part is with todays bullet market, its like there are so many different bullets in design, weight, and special construction that it makes it hard for a guy to decide what to buy. I have ammo for all my different guns in so many variations thats its crazy. I remember when there werent so many choices and it wasnt a dilemna to decide what bullets you were going to use. But price for ammo has gone up significantly also so you just cant go down and buy 5 boxes of different ammo and see what your gun likes the best at $200 + to start making decisions and more $ when you decide. Fortunately I am shooting a Tikka T3 that isn't difficult to please but when you get ready to make 50-100 handloaded rounds you want to make sure you decide before you start.
