I have recently started reloading barnes bullets-right now I'm shoot the .338 210 grain XXX. I have been very impressed with there performance on game but all the animals I have shot with them have been under 300 yards. The rep from barnes claims they only need to be traveling at 1800 fps which for the load I'm using would put me out somewhere around 600 yards which is way farther then I would every shoot at game. If this is true then I have no need for concern regarding expansion, but there are some people who don't buy this. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/experiences you would be willing to share. Thanks Next: Barnes and penetration AlaskaBob Mar 25 2006 Message Thread:
