I have hunted elk and deer with guys that use Mountain Rifles.  We walk miles after the critters and those guys loved the reduced weight.  Great choice for a sheep gun. If you have the money, I have heard that the McMillan stocks are the cat's arse, but I don't, so my Remington's are stuck wearing factory plastic ones.
