[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Barnes Manuals Posted by CowlitzSteelie on Mar 24 2006 I have the Barnes Manual and the C.O.L. is for X bullets. The XXX bullets have a different C.O.L. There is no published data for XXX bullets yet, which was the whole point of the entire post. Barnes says you can get away with maybe a grain or 2 over the max load for the x bullets, and need to seat the bullets .050" off the lands of your rifle. I would not jeopardize my friends lives or their rifles lives. That is why I am seeking input on this particular bullet. I am a strict follower of manuals. I have pretty much all the big dogs manuals that are available right now. Still waiting on Barnes to publish a new one with the XXX bullet data. I was just seeing if one of the reloading gods out there has load data compiled for this bullet in this caliber. I never endangered my soldiers, and I will never endanger my friends!
