Okay, I did a little research and found that the phone number from this guy Chris Blow responding to my 45-70 reloading gear message was indeed a number originating from Nigeria, so it is pretty damn sure it was some kind of convoluted scam. Probably good to know. I am guessing the information on the supposed dies he gave was at least partly imaginary. Fascinating.
